Sohum Trivedi, MD is thrilled to be the newest member of the clinical team at the Neurology Center for Epilepsy and Seizures. He completed residency training in Neurology with a Special Qualification in Child Neurology in 2022 and completed Epilepsy fellowship in 2023.
Dr. Trivedi graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania majoring in Biological Basis of Behavior and obtained a minor in Health Care Management from Wharton. While at Penn, Dr. Trivedi conducted research in the Kahana Memory Lab and had his first experiences with patients with Epilepsy, which he found fascinating. Due to his interest in Neurology and Pediatrics, Dr. Trivedi’s research at Emory University School of Medicine was focused on Neurodevelopmental Outcomes Among Children with Single Ventricle Physiology which was published in the World Journal for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery. During Child Neurology residency at the Medical College of Georgia, he earned the Best Teacher award at graduation for his dedication to educating junior residents and patients. During residency, Dr. Trivedi continued his passion for Neurology research by publishing a paper on Stiff Person Syndrome in a patient with a history of epilepsy surgery. He then returned to the northeast to complete Epilepsy Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA and Nemours Children’s Health in Wilmington, DE.
Dr. Trivedi is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and American Epilepsy Society. Clinically, Dr. Trivedi is focused on caring for epilepsy patients of any age as well as child neurology patients. He has particular interest in emerging therapies for epilepsy and headache management.
Due to the urgency in diagnosing and treating neurological problems, along with the nationwide shortage of epileptologists and neurologists, Dr. Trivedi strives to see new patients in a timely manner to expedite their care. Neurologic conditions are often complex and require time to understand and manage, which Dr. Trivedi makes a priority during each patient visit. Through education, trust building, and mutual understanding, Dr. Trivedi looks forward to providing comprehensive care for his patients.
